LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE

The “Kinetic Chain” is defined as connections in a system that allows its interlinking pieces to produce movement. When one of the links in the human chain doesn’t function efficiently, the whole system can be affected. Our company, KinetiChain seeks to provide the highest level of care using a truly unique and integrated treatment approach that evaluates and treats the whole person. We strive to improve lives and help those suffering from acute injury and chronic pain, as well as healthy individuals seeking personal improvement or athletes seeking performance enhancement.

Rather than treating symptoms alone, our detailed evaluation process seeks to uncover the root cause of dysfunction. No problem is viewed in isolation. Our whole person approach enables us to treat the entire system to ensure the body works in synergy between all regions. Our global approach is designed to prevent recidivism in treatment, provide long lasting relief, and create a sustainable management strategy for the future. Each client will receive a customized treatment plan tailored to fit their individual needs and goals. We strive to help every client to be the best they can be and live the highest quality of life every day.

Avery Collins World-renowned ultra endurance trail runner snowboarder

Ultra running is my passion, so when I suffered severe injury in a traffic accident in 2018, I needed someone who would partner with me to help me regain my mobility quickly. Even walking would cause extreme pain. Steve laid out a therapy and recovery plan that helped repair both my mental and physical states. Thanks to Steve, I was able to return to ultra running in 2019, and am currently back to doing what I love, competing in the world’s most challenging ultra running races.

Lindsay Dillenbeck Professional Alpine Ski Racer

My body served me well as a NCAA Div I ski racer, and then worked hard for me as I fought through chronic Lyme disease. I have been both very strong and very weak – and Steve has kept my body working for me through it all. I have chronic pain resulting from repeated knee surgeries and years of wear and tear ski racing. He was able to completely revamp the lower half of my body to make everything easier for my knees. When old injuries started cropping up due to chronic inflammation from Lyme disease, he used lighter touch visceral work. Steve sees the whole picture. He will get you there!

Amanda Grimes Ultra Runner

As a mountain athlete I have had many routine wear and tear and injuries including overstressed foot tendons, IT band syndrome, as well as historical aches and pains from past injuries. Steve has helped me quickly bounce back from acute injuries as well as maintain the overall alignment and strength of my body. As a functional physical therapist his comprehensive approach to finding the root cause, often unrelated to the point of discomfort, truly sets him apart and keeps me moving through the mountains doing what I love to do! I attribute a lot of my consistency over the years to his routine “maintenance” tune-ups.

Testimonial - Justin Hirsch Skiing

I owe my current state of mobility and quality of life to Steve. He’s brought me back from multiple surgeries, and several severe injuries. I went through a number of other physical therapists, but then I discovered Steve. It’s amazing to watch him work. I’m a customer for life. He’s the real deal!

Thanks to Steve’s attention to detail and unparalleled ability to understand functional movement, I was able to stay goal-oriented throughout my year-long hip rehab. Without him, I’m not sure if I would have been able to make a 100% recovery. With his guidance, I’m happy to say I’m now operating at 110%!

PERFORM AT YOUR PEAK

PERFORM AT YOUR PEAK

INTEGRATED MANUAL PHYSICAL THERAPY

Loosely defined as the skilled use of touch to facilitate change in the body, Manual Therapy is a system that seeks to evaluate the whole person to discover areas of dysfunction, and correct those dysfunctions through a system of skilled touch and rehabilitation.

Dysfunctions may be related to repetitive stressors, lifestyle, previous trauma or injury, medical history or other factors. Once evaluated, dysfunctions are treated through a variety of different and complementary forms of physical therapy designed to integrate the bodily systems to promote healing and increase strength. The force used can range from joint manipulation to light touch, and is individualized for each patient’s needs.

Treatment techniques will vary as the client progresses toward restoration of lifestyle, recreation, athletics and function. Each client will receive an exercise program and lifestyle adaptations to maintain positive changes. We seek to restore function and improve lifestyle, whether it is walking around the block, or running a marathon. Finally, a plan for future care and maintenance will be established to allow you to live your best life, every day.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Are you a health care professional interested in furthering your knowledge of issues related to the cranium and TMJ? This advanced course will provide a scaffold for evaluation and treatment of the cranium and TMJ and relate them specifically to the airway. Concepts will include identification of patients that need care, anatomical review of these regions, specific evaluation and treatment techniques.

An interdisciplinary approach will be highlighted as this region often times requires referral to other professions. Treatment will focus on Manual Therapy, but also include postural education and patient exercise regimens to compliment treatment.

The cranium and TMJ are among the most complex regions of the body, and when dysfunction arises here, the symptoms are often headaches or disturbance of the airway. Most airway cases are undiagnosed, or are treated symptomatically as something other than airway issues. TMJ is a hot topic that has confused the medical and dental professions for years. Both of these diagnoses are difficult to quantify and thus equally difficult to evaluate and treat. Learn advanced treatment techniques developed with knowledge of Manual Physical Therapy, and refined by Drs. Stephen G. Warfel II, PT, DPT, MTC, FFMT, FAAOMPT and Brad Gilden, PT, DPT, CFMT, FAAOMPT, FFMT, CSCS.
